After 15 years of enjoyable camping experience at Bow Valley Camp, it became necessary for us as renters to search out another camp facility. It was not long before we found Sunnyside Camp which suited our needs well. Sunnyside Camp is located on the east shores of the beautiful Sylvan Lake, 16 km (10 miles) west of Red Deer, AB. Their administration welcomed us with open arms and further favored us with a week right in the middle of their six week summer camp program. That favorable situation continues to this day. Annually, an average of 200 campers come together to enjoy a relaxed and an inspiring week together.

CJM is grateful to Sunnyside Camp for the long and harmonious relationship we have enjoyed. 2010 marked 35 years at this location. 2012 was the 60th consecutive years of CJM camping ministry.

To God be the glory, great things He has done!
1961 was the final year of Family Bible Kamp at Kootenay Lake. That same year the first Youth Camp was held at Bow Valley Camp in Canmore, Alberta. 1962 was the first CJM Family Camp at Bow Valley.
The CJM Family Camp has a long and envious history. It is probably the closest thing to a truely "family camp" experienced anywhere. We have had new-born babes from weeks old to grandparents into their mid 90's attend from a few days to the entire week.

CJM camping ministry goes back to the year 1953. The first location was on the beautiful shores of Kootenay Lake near Nelson, BC. Scores of campers came from the Okanagan Valley, Vancouver and from southern Alberta to annually enjoy fellowship, to make new friends and study God's Word together.
Canmore is located just east of the entrance to Banff National Park in the Canadian Rockies.
